Making Nutrition Accessible

In-person nutrition counseling is more traditional but can be more expensive and literally impossible to get an ASL interpreter. This is where Zoom consultations come in! You don’t need to go anywhere to receive this important advice. Our team knows American Sign Language (ASL) and how to work with all people, no matter what their condition is.

As individuals with disabilities, it can be hard to find professionals who know the right approach. When creating Access Fit, we took everyone especially deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf Disabled, and hard of hearing people into consideration

Your nutrition plan will include full meal breakdowns with calories & macros and setting a personalized custom macronutrient goal. We will provide you with recipes and teach you how to prepare them so you can feel healthier and more confident.

During this session, I’ll gather information about your current eating habits, lifestyle, and health objectives. This will involve questions about your dietary routines, medical history, allergies, and specific food preferences.

Analysis

I will closely examine your dietary intake to pinpoint areas that may need improvement. This can involve reviewing a food diary you’ve kept or utilizing specialized software for dietary analysis.

Goal Setting

Based on your assessment, I’ll assist you in setting realistic and attainable dietary goals. These goals will be tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re seeking to manage a medical condition, lose weight, enhance athletic performance, or simply adopt a healthier diet.

Nutritional Education

I will provide you with insights into the nutritional components of food, including macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and dietary fiber. You’ll gain an understanding of how various foods impact your health and learn to make informed choices.

Meal Suggestions

I will offer meal and snack recommendations designed to help you achieve your dietary objectives.

Behavioral Counseling

I can provide strategies to support changes in your eating behavior. This may involve guidance on managing emotional eating, making healthy choices when dining out, and addressing cravings.

Monitoring and Follow-Up

As part of the package, you’ll have one complimentary follow-up appointment (15 minutes) to track your progress. During this session, I will fine-tune your meal plan as necessary and continue to provide guidance and support.
